Negotiations with the State President of Cyprus Dr. Dervis Eroglu

In the talks between State President Dr. Dervis Eroglu and the Chairman of INGO Diplomaten International Günther Meinel on February 21, 2014, the serious human rights violations in Northern Cyprus were once again highlighted. The chairman addressed the problems again and explained that the United Nations must now seek urgent willingness to dialogue with the Greek part of Cyprus. The INGO will now prepare a submission for the UN.

The State President places hopes in the committed organization, which follows the focus of conflict resolution! Only enlightenment about the tensions among the ethnic groups, which mainly caused the conflict, leads to a solution. Since the Kofi Annan Plan for the reunification of Cyprus failed in 2004, the INGO Diplomaten International is stepping in here and has proposed solutions.

The 2004 referendum led to no solution in the prevailing enlightenment deficit. For example, a referendum on immigration or the EURO in Germany would also not solve the problems. Education and enlightenment is a principle of dialogue!

Leading personalities with the State President wish that INGO Diplomaten International, together with the Foreign Office in Germany, continue to work diplomatically on this problem.

Of course, the members of INGO Diplomaten International, who are very wealthy in addition to their social commitment, have also promised economic and humanitarian aid, such as the construction of a hospital, construction of housing and a production facility for medical equipment.

US government diplomat Victoria Nuland, who is responsible for European policy at the State Department, also mediated on February 6, 2014, and is now trying to get the dialogue going again. She also met with State President Dr. Dervis Eroglu. Even if she did not express herself in a friendly manner towards Europe in a phone call, her peace efforts are more important! Often we heard through our ambassador Dr. Harald Malmgren – former advisor to the US government – not always friendly tones towards Europe. The accusation that Europe should finally speak with one voice is well known. Everyone has a second chance and to err is human! And therefore Ms. Victoria Nuland will now show special efforts for Europe.

On February 11, 2014, peace talks finally began! The President of the Greek Cypriots, Nicos Anastasiades, and the Turkish Cypriot State President Dervis Eroglu came together under the auspices of the UN in the divided capital Nicosia. Negotiations on rapprochement begin! A sign for peace!
