The most urgent task of the countries is to combat youth unemployment exacerbated by the crisis in numerous countries. To generate jobs, know-how and growth, all countries must attract foreign direct investment. Further topics were the development of industry and foreign trade, as well as the necessary changes resulting from the financial crisis and the opportunities arising from the shifts in global economic power relations.
The President of the organization INGO Diplomaten International, Dr. Günther Meinel, was invited to this year's World Congress as a speaker. His appeal for peace activities was enthusiastically received. Meinel explained that Europe must meet other countries on an equal footing, as Europe can also benefit greatly from other countries. This rebalancing of power relations met with great interest from the participating countries. New impulses provided further economic motivation. Particular reference was made here to the increasing dynamics in Turkey and a program for developing a generation of engineers was presented.
In his speech, Dr. Günther Meinel also advocated relocating the headquarters of the World Investment Association WAIPA from Switzerland to Istanbul. 80% of the delegates agreed to this. The President of WAIPA, Mr. M. İlker Aycı, thanked him for this and affirmed that he would also want to continue working with the INGO Diplomaten International in the future. Mr. M. İlker Aycı was re-elected as President and received numerous congratulations from all countries.
